Dr. János Kóka

/ Chairman and CEO, Cellum Global Corp.

Noted Hungarian IT entrepreneur, investor and public servant Dr. János Kóka has been chairman and CEO of Cellum since 2011. After graduating from medical school in 1996 Kóka served as managing director of Elender Computer Ltd, and from 1998 as CEO of Elender Informatics Inc. In 1999 he first became Country Manager and then in 2000 European Vice President of Business Development at PSINet Inc. From July 2000 he continued his career as chairman of the board of Webigen Inc., then in October 2002 he became CEO of Elender Business Communications. In 2004 he was elected president of Euroweb Internet Service Provider Inc. He was president of the Hungarian Association of IT Companies from March 2003 until October 2004. From 2003 he served on the board of the European ICT Association based in Brussels, and as chairman of the Hungarian-Indonesian Joint Business Council. In October 2004 Kóka was appointed minister of economy and transport of the Republic of Hungary, a position he was reappointed to in June 2006. Between 2007-2008 he served as president of the country’s Liberal Party, and as its parliamentary group leader until 2010.
As CEO and co-shareholder of Cellum since 2011, he has been supervising the international expansion of the company with a strategy that combines global fintech competitiveness with strong local partnerships. Under his leadership, Cellum was ranked in the TOP3 most successful Hungarian start-up companies by a leading Hungarian business magazine in 2014. Dr. Kóka is a member of the Global Diplomacy Lab created by the German Federal Foreign Office and BMW Foundation's World Young Leaders Forum.

dr. Ábel Garamhegyi

/ COO & Deputy CEO, Cellum Global Corp.

Ábel Garamhegyi is a highly accomplished senior executive with broad international experience in numerous fields. He obtained an MSc in Geography and Mathematics at the University of Szeged in 1995, and a PhD in Social Geography in 2000. He has been guest lecturer and associate professor at various European universities, and has published numerous publications. From 1997 to 2002, Garamhegyi held a number of senior positions at international companies like Henkel & Schölein and DHL. In 2002 he got into public administration, for the next decade holding a wide range of high positions related to national and international economic affairs, including Head of the Economic Policy Department at the Prime Minister’s Office, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Economy and Transport and State Secretary for International Economic Relations. In 2011, he took on the position of VP Sales EMEAI at Barco in India, and in 2014 he became VP Corporate Business Development at the European parent company. Garamhegyi joined Cellum in September 2015, where as Chief Operating Officer he oversees the day-to-day operations of the company.

Krisztián Rácz

/ CEO, Cellum Corp.; VP Business Development & PM

Krisztián Rácz is a business management professional with over two decades of experience. He received a BA (Honours) degree in Business Studies at the International Business School – Budapest. Rácz started his career as Statistical Analyst at the Hungarian National Bank. From 1997 he worked in the area of strategic planning and later as Project Manager at Dunaholding Inc. He worked at Hungarian ISP Elender from 1999, which was later acquired by PSINet, holding positions of Project Manager, Product Manager for Europe and Business Development Manager. In 2005, while working at the State Motorway Management Company as Advisor and Project Manager, he took part in preparing the introduction of the electronic toll payment system. In the following years, he held various leading positions at a number of private companies, was Member of the Board of CardNet and Investment Director at Alder. Rácz joined Cellum in 2014, where besides his position as CEO of Cellum Corp., he is also responsible for business development and project management.

Endre Berki

/ CEO, MPP Hungary Corp.

Endre Berki received his degree in Instrumentation and Control Technology at the Budapest University of Technology in 1987. He started his career in 1988 as Scientific Assistant Associate at the Central Physics Research Institute. He joined Elender Computer LLC in 1993, holding a number of technical and commercial managerial roles. He was appointed Deputy CEO of Elender IT Inc. in 1998, and then in 2000, following the company’s acquisition by PSINet Inc., became managing director of PSINet Hungary. He went on to become Deputy CEO of Elender Business Communications Inc. in 2002. From late 2004, he held advisory and managerial roles in a number of his own enterprises. Berki joined Cellum in 2013 as Senior Project Manager. As CEO of MPP Hungary Corp. he is currently responsible for the Direct Operator Billing services of Cellum Group.

Andrea Markó

/ Chief Financial Officer

Andrea Markó graduated from the University of Miskolc with a degree in engineering, and later obtained a second degree in economics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 1995 and then an MBA in 1997. She is a certified accountant, ACCA DipIFR, accredited controller, accredited change management consultant and certified LEAN manager. She has gained 20 years of financial and leadership experience in various management positions at a range of multinational and Hungarian corporations. She was first Project Manager and later Controller at HEINZ Kecskeméti Konzervgyár Ltd., and then served as CFO of various companies (Avery Dennison Hungary, Credit Invest Ltd., Aeroplex of Central Europe Ltd.,). From 2005 to 2008 she served at the Hungarian Ministry of Finance as Director General and later as State Secretary. In 2009 she became CEO of Hungarocontrol, the Hungarian air traffic control company. From 2011 she served as Interim Project Manager, CFO and consultant at various companies (Magyar Telekom, Gasztrometál Zrt., Lufthansa Technik Budapest Kft.). She joined Cellum in August 2015, where she has overall responsibility for the group’s financial operations.

Zoltán Magyari

/ Chief Technology Officer

Zoltán Magyari is an experienced IT professional in the field of Agile and Lean software development and testing. He studied Software Engineering at the Eötvös Lóránd University of Science. He started his career in 2004 as a developer and worked for a number of companies. In 2009 he joined Lufthansa Systems Hungary, where he was responsible for test engineering for airline management software. He went on to work at Synaptel first as a mobile developer, then later became Quality and Testing Lead. From 2013 he worked at Big Fish, a leading Hungarian e-commerce and web services provider. He joined Cellum in 2014 first as Quality Lead, and was appointed CTO in 2015, where he is currently responsible for the company’s software development activities.

Zoltán Ács

Zoltán Ács graduated from the University of Veszprém with a degree in engineering and information technology, then obtained a second degree in economics at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2010. He has deep experience in operating IT and telecommunications systems, having held several positions in the areas of system operation and development. He has lead the development of mobile commerce systems at Cellum Zrt. and MPP Zrt. since 2006.

Edit Pápai

/ Director of Government Relations and Communications

Edit Pápai graduated from the College of Trade and Catering Management in 1985 and received her second degree in International Marketing at the College of Foreign Trade in 1991. She went on to study at the Budapest Business School, where she received a degree in business education in 1996. She started her career at Pannonia Hotels. She got involved in the IT industry at CompuServe Hungary in 1997, where she was head of marketing until 1999, when she joined Elender Information Corp. as marketing director. She became marketing director of PSINet Hungary in 2000, and later took part as Marketing Expert in the international marketing workgroup at the company's Swiss unit while also retaining her position in Hungary. In 2004, she became Ministerial Secretary at Hungary's Ministry of Economy. In 2006 she moved to Washington D.C. to become counselor for economic affairs at Hungary’s Economic and Trade Representation office. She joined Cellum in August 2011, where she is responsible for the company’s communications and marketing activities and government relations.

dr. Balázs Ferenczy

/ Legal Director

With a highly successful career spanning more than two decades, dr. Balázs Ferenczy’s practice focuses on corporate and project finance, capital markets, regulatory and water energy matters. He graduated from the University of Miskolc in 1992 as Doctor of Law and State Sciences, and later received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Finance and Management at the Budapest University of Technology in 2006. He started his career at Hungarian Credit Bank as Inhouse Counsel in 1992. Following a brief period in 1995 as Inhouse Legal Counsel at Westel 900 GSM (later renamed T-Mobile), he went on to serve as Crédit Lyonnais Bank Hungary’s Inhouse Chief Legal Counsel, a position he held till 1998. He then became Local Partner for Gide Loyrette Nouel Law Office, where for the next decade he was Department Leader responsible for the firm’s Hungarian activities in the area of banking, finance and capital markets. He has been Partner in the Kalas Molnár Erdei Ferenczy and Partners Law Office since 2010. Ferenczy joined Cellum in 2013 as Legal Director to oversee and coordinate the company group’s legal matters.

He has gained substantial professional experience both in the US and the EU in managing small, innovative companies with high growth potential. Balázs Inotay

/ Founder, Senior Advisor

Balázs Inotay is an engineer and a prominent expert in the field mobile payments. He graduated from the Budapest University of Economic Sciences in 1992. From 1996, he was responsible for regional development activities and professional management as Microsoft Hungary's regional development manager. As CEO of CompuWorx. Rt. he participated in the development and introduction of the Hungarian student ID chip card system, the SuperShop loyalty card system and MOL's customer loyalty program. He founded Cellum’s predecessor in 2000, of which he was CEO and president until 2011. After the reorganizing of the company group in 2004, he was CEO of mobile commerce platform operator MPP Zrt. and Director of Strategy at Cellum Global. He currently serves as Senior Advisor.

Gyula Lepp

Gyula Lepp is the largest private investor in the Hungarian electronic payment industry, being the majority owner of CardNet, Hungary's leading POS operator and transaction service provider. He was CEO and chairman of Elender Business Internet from 1998 to 2000, when the company was purchased by a strategic buyer. He then went on to become an angel investor in a number of different industries and companies, and has been an investor in Cellum since 2006.
